All Tinctures come in 4 ounce amber bottles. Alcohol tinctures (sometimes spelled and pronouncted tintures) are well known for their ability to absorb through the system immediately when consumed. Pill forms of herbs, depending upon the coating used, could leave your body the in the same form they went in because the coating may not melt. Herbs in capsule form will disintegrate and be digested in the stomach, while tinctures begin to be absorbed immediately when they enter your mouth.
The alcohol in tinctures causes the herb to be absorbed more rapidly into the blood stream. If you prefer no alcohol in your tincture, you can heat it or put it in hot water and the alcohol will evaporate. Because of the small bottle and dropper to dispense with, tinctures give you the freedom to easily carry herbs anywhere. Tinctures may be mixed with juice if you wish, in order to avoid any unpleasant taste. I prefer using Sunny Delight when taking my tinctures - they taste wonderful!
Each bottle comes with an eyedropper for easy dispensing.
